Miserable Monday

Uggh. It's Monday again and it has been raining since yesterday. Weatherman states it'll rain all wee.

Great weather to curl up and read a book - which I selfishly did yesterday laying in bed while my husband entertained our middle school aged boys.

I have to admit that I've ready more than written in the last week, but I woke up around midnight to throw some ideas in a document for this week's Reedsy's Writing contests. It's my first nonfiction pieced I've worked on about how subtitles can aid in sensemaking for those with auditory processing delays and members of the neurodivergent group (mostly ADHD and AuDHD).

I battle several chronic illnesses and for the last 6-8 weeks, I've been mostly bed bound. My only adventures outside of my room have been to doctor's appointment and the pharmacy. Writing helps me go on epic quests and fight an unnamed enemy.

I've finally started my YA dystopian novel - almost completed the 2nd chapter! There's a great Coursera course for how to write your novel. I have also through the class gained a group of writers who share feedback and suggestions on your writing. If you're interested, the link below will take you to the course. Did I mention it's FREE?

Hope you Monday isn't as mundane as my own and that you have a great week.
